About the opportunity:
The Delivery Manager is a critical leadership role within the Wheatbelt Region, assisting to manage a skilled team to oversee the development and delivery of road and bridge construction projects in accordance with the Delivery Plan.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for road and bridge construction and maintenance projects delivered by public tenders, panel arrangements and by direct management. The variety of work right across the Wheatbelt Region make this a challenging, but extremely rewarding work environment.
Some of your duties include:
- Undertake consultation, liaison and negotiation with stakeholders (e.g. customers, the community, other agencies, and Local Government, contractors and consultants) on the development and delivery of projects and contracts.
- Undertake the role of the Superintendent's Representative on the Rural Network Contract.
- Manage the preparation of contract documentation and the contract tendering process for public work tenders, including independent cost verification of the minor capital works.
- Review and report on the performance of both contracts and contractors for all delivered works.
To be successful you will:
- Be a dynamic and experienced civil construction professional.
- Be solutions focused.
- Have applied your strong technical capability over several years of practical industry experience,
- Have experience managing a diverse team with varying degrees of experience and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to develop positive, professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
