We understand that to make change you must think differently and work differently…
The Public Sector Commission is on a mission to create an innovative and future fit public sector for all Western Australians.
This position is part of the Data Analytics and Reporting team that generates workforce insights for the sector to help agencies deliver better and more timely services to the Western Australian community.
The team drives sector wide workforce data collection, analysis and reporting to uncover insights into the size, shape and composition of the public sector.
Our team now needs someone to help us understand the story of the workforce in the Western Australian public sector by supporting and delivering the collection, analysis and communication of data.
You will analyse workforce data to generate insights supporting strategy and performance reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and relevant.
You will coordinate sector-wide data collections and proactively resolve data quality issues to maintain integrity.
You will provide system support for data collection and management systems and contribute to improving data processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
You will prepare reports and briefings for senior leaders and work with stakeholders to enhance processes, systems, and ways of working.
We are looking for someone who can bring strong experience in data collection, analysis, and delivering accurate, timely outputs tailored to different audiences. As well as use data systems effectively to identify improvements, investigate issues, and develop practical solutions, while communicating insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders and upholding high standards of integrity and data governance.
We value diversity and understand that diverse workplaces are more effective and innovative. So no matter your background, including people with disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, we encourage you to apply.
While it is desirable to have a qualification in a relevant discipline – such as data science, statistics, mathematics, human resource management, public sector management or organisational psychology – this is not a requirement. We look at all experiences and skills.
You can request flexible work and leave arrangements, and there are additional employment benefits to help you balance work and other commitments.
Applying is easy…
