We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Liaison to provide expert clinical leadership and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

You will act as a key clinical resource for staff across the hospital, providing expert assessment, screening, intervention, follow-up, and care coordination for patients with mental health needs. Suitability Criteria:

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

1. Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with extensive experience in mental health assessment and evidence-based treatment across acute and community settings.
2. Demonstrated experience managing psychiatric and non-psychiatric emergencies, including crisis intervention, risk assessment and prioritisation in complex situations.
3. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
4. Sound knowledge of the WA Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation, supported by strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
