About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced nursing leader looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in regional and remote healthcare? We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager – Remote to provide clinical leadership, operational management, and strategic direction across the Gascoyne region's remote health services, including Burringurrah, Coral Bay, Shark Bay Nursing Posts, Useless Loop and Gascoyne Junction Clinics, as well as supporting the Aboriginal workforce.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient healthcare services across multiple remote locations. You will lead and support multidisciplinary teams, drive quality and safety initiatives, oversee human and material resource management, and contribute to the development and implementation of service goals and governance processes. Working closely with the Coordinator of Nursing & Midwifery, you will play a key role in strengthening remote healthcare services and improving health outcomes for regional communities.
As a mentor and leader, you will foster a culture of excellence by supporting, coaching, and developing staff, while promoting continuous improvement, clinical best practice, and patient-centred care. Suitability Criteria:

The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a commitment to maintaining professional excellence through ongoing learning and development.
- Strong clinical leadership experience with advanced nursing practice skills, including the ability to lead, support, develop and manage teams in diverse healthcare environments.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, negotiate outcomes, and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound understanding of contemporary healthcare management and governance principles, including human resource management, quality improvement, risk management, and relevant legislative requirements relating to workplace safety, equal opportunity and service delivery.
- Current C or C-A Class Driver's Licence and the ability to travel throughout the region, including undertaking overnight stays as required to support service delivery across remote communities.
