About the role
Study Support Assistants provide vital support to South Metropolitan TAFE students in both individual and group settings.
In this role, you will assist students with diagnosed disabilities or medical conditions to access learning on an equal basis with their peers and also partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to develop effective study skills and successful learning strategies.
Your day-to-day work involves practical in-class and assessment support, including accurate notetaking, scribing and formal exam invigilation. You will also provide group study support. helping students navigate online SM TAFE systems, assisting with assignment submissions, unpacking task instructions, and offering general course clarification to build independent learning confidence.
