About the Role
VenuesWest is seeking casual Technical BOH Assistants to join our Technical Operations team!
Reporting to the Technical Supervisors and Coordinators, the BOH Assistants will support RAC Arena to assist in the setup and pack down of event infrastructure including staging, seating, draping and specific production infrastructure as well as the setup & operation of sporting equipment & surfaces including Basketball, Netball and Tennis.
The pay rate for this position is $39.07 - $49.25 per hour (including casual loading), VenuesWest General Agreement Level 2 - 5.
This is a casual role required to work at our various locations (venue preference can be indicated through the application questions). Hours of work will vary depending on event requirements, however outside normal work hours, weekend work and overnight work will be an expectation for some shifts.
Whilst the position will be based at RAC Arena in Perth, mobility may be required between the portfolio of facilities.
In this role, you will
- Assists in the setup and pack down of event infrastructure including staging, seating, draping and specific production infrastructure.
- Assists in the setup & operation of sporting equipment & surfaces including Basketball and Tennis
- Ensures that all technical equipment is maintained to a high standard.
- Conforms to operating procedures regarding set up, operation, pack down and storage of all equipment.
- Operates the Arena’s equipment including staging systems, sporting, seating and audio visual.
- Assists in the setup & operation of sports timing equipment.
- Sets up of function and breakout spaces
- Assists in the setup of Audio-Visual systems
