Suitability Criteria

  • Ability to deliver safe, patient-centred care within scope of practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work effectively within a regional health service environment
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in an on-call roster
  • Ability to work across all three sites including Royal Perth Hospital, Bentley Health service and Mount Lawley Health Service.

  • Must possess a Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology and Practice or recognised Australian equivalent

Area Profile

The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 828,000 Western Australians in its catchment area. 

Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s, children’s and neonates services.

The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Mt Lawley Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services. 
 
Bentley Health Service (BHS) is a fully accredited public hospital located 10km from the Perth CBD and forms part of the Royal Perth Bentley Mount  Lawley Group. BHS provides quality healthcare to the community, specialising in the delivery of rehabilitation, community child and adolescent health, mental health care and aged care services. The range of services includes specialist outpatient services, Allied Health, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Urology.  
 
Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Western Australia's longest-serving hospital and renowned for contributing to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care. It is a 450-bed hospital, with an extensive range of services including Adult major trauma, complex and elective surgical care, highly specialised surgical services, tertiary mental health and specialist medical services.

Mount Lawley Hospital is part of the Royal Perth Bentley Mount Lawley Group and is located just minutes from the Perth CBD offering a range of services including Outpatient clinics, general medical, rehabilitation and geriatric services, surgical, day procedures and endoscopy.
