This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing as soon as possible

The Role

The Technical Support Officer maintains the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and network, ensuring reliability and sustainability to enhance the learning environment.

The successful applicant will provide advice on technical issues and collaborate with administration to maintain and develop the network system. Additionally, they will also provide technical support and training to all users throughout the school site on various software applications and provide access to systems and resources.

The successful applicant will ideally have an understanding of Department of Education WA ICT based, software, systems, processes and structures to be able to manage, coordinate, troubleshoot and problem solve issues as they arise. The successful application will also have an understanding of Compass and its role out.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of information systems and ICT equipment in accordance with the school business needs and Department of Education policies and guidelines. This includes maintaining accurate records of ICT assets and resources and the development, implementation, and monitoring of a replacement plan.

The ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively and work with a diverse range of people and professionals would be highly advantageous to the role.
