Tapping Primary School (PS) opened in 2007 and is situated on Wadjuk Noongar Boodja. Located in the Wanneroo Education Network, our school is renowned for its exceptional educational programs and commitment to student success. The Role

We are expanding our front office team and seeking a dynamic, organised and people-focused School Officer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, takes pride in their work and brings a strong sense of professionalism to every interaction.

The School Officer should be the first point of contact for our school community, warmly welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries and ensuring communication is clear, timely and professional. The role may include:

  • Assisting with the management of school assets, including assistance with the administration of out-of-hours use of school facilities, coordinating and negotiating maintenance and repairs and maintaining key registers and security system codes
  • Administering the operation of school databases, records and management information systems including timetabling
  • Establishing ordering procedures for office consumables
  • Creating and preparing school materials for publication and undertakes routine analyses and reports on results
  • Undertaking student-related activities, including providing information, advice and collecting documentation for enrolment of new students

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully – with students, staff, parents and external providers, both verbally and in writing
  • Display strong organisational skills – managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, and maintaining accuracy under pressure
  • Take initiative and follow through – proactively identifying what needs to be done and completing tasks to a high standard
  • Uphold high expectations – presenting a professional image, modelling reliability and supporting school-wide consistency
  • Apply a process-driven approach – following school systems with care, maintaining accurate records and supporting quality assurance practices
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement – with a willingness to suggest ideas and support school-wide goals

We also encourage applications with:

  • Marketing, communications or social media experience – especially if you have previously worked on newsletters, promotions, websites or community engagement initiatives

School administration experience or familiarity with Department of Education systems such as Integris, Compass, or HRMIS (preferred but not essential).
