This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026

Calista Primary School is an independent public school in the city of Kwinana with approximately 420 students from kindy to Year 6.  We believe that strong relationships are they key to educational success and that every student matters every day. The Role

This position is for two days a week, Thursday and Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm.

Our school office can be a fast environment and therefore the successful applicant should be flexible and adapt to changing daily priorities.The school officer undertakes administrative support duties, reception duties, including greeting visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information in an efficient and friendly manner.  They also provide general clerical  duties such as preparing newsletters through SWAY, booking appointments for the Principal and Deputy Principals, managing the school website, enrolments, updating and maintain student medical information, maintaining a student filing system, reviewing student attendance records which includes generating absentee letters through Compass for distribution and communicating to parents through Connect, Compass, face to face and telephone.

The successful applicant will ideally communicate well, both written and verbal, as well as having a good knowledge of customer service principles, will be highly regarded.  In addition, it will be highly desirable for applicants to possess strong organisations skills in delivering and prioritising tasks when under pressure as well as a working knowledge of the Student Information System (SIS) Integris program and sound knowledge of Compass is highly desirable.
