We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Wellard Village Primary School (PS) is centred on a culture of powerful relationships where all key stakeholders work collaboratively for positive student outcomes. We are looking for staff who are team oriented, highly collaborative and possess an ability to work in a team.

The Role

The School Officer is responsible for reception duties, including greeting visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information in an efficient and friendly manner. They provide general clerical and administrative support, including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices, and other materials in a timely manner.

They also distribute and collect documents, forms, and mail, collect and receipt monies, operate and maintain office equipment, input data and generate reports, arrange catering for school functions, make travel arrangements for staff, assist with maintenance of school facilities, and support student-related activities such as maintaining attendance records and processing student enrolments. They also assist the Manager Corporate Services with the induction and training of school support staff and recruitment processes and maintain staff records and contact relief staff as directed.
