
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Northam Senior High School (SHS) stands on the bank of the Avon River and has a proud and rich history of providing a comprehensive curriculum to students in Years 7 to 12 from the Northam and surrounding Wheatbelt districts students. The Role
As a School Officer you will be responsible for providing accurate advice and support to parents, students, staff and community members ideally using your sound communication skills. You should use your outstanding organisational skills to provide general clerical and administrative support including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices and other materials for both the school and its external clients. Suitable applicants will ideally be able to have the capacity to work independently and show initiative in their daily tasks.
Suitable applicants may also be required to support the Manager Corporate Services in the delivery of school database systems information, student support processes, student records, reporting, enrolments and marketing. Suitable applicants may also assist with administering the financial resources and assets of the school. Suitable applicants will ideally have the ability in using computers and a range of application software packages in particular databases, spreadsheets and word processing and possess the skills and ability to support the administration and management of financial and human resources of the school.
