The Role
This Cleaner in Charge will ideally be a dynamic and organised person who can take the lead in cleaning our Senior Campus at 10 Bentley Street, Donnybrook.
The Cleaner in Charge should take pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness ensuring school facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Department procedure to provide a visually pleasing and safe learning environment for our students, staff, and visitors to the school. They will organise and order stock and equipment as well as manage hazardous materials and the Material Safety Data Sheet.
The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for organising and supervising the school cleaning staff including the relief for staff on leave, rosters and highlighting issues and concerns on behalf of cleaners. They will manage cleaners time books and organise on the job training of new and current cleaning staff. They will work closely with school staff, including the gardener, and provide operational support to the Manager Corporate Services in relation to cleaning staff supervision and performance processes.
The successful applicant should have strong interpersonal and team motivational skills and be happy to receive and carry out instructions as required. As Cleaner in Charge you should be well organised and have good record keeping skills.
