Eneabba Primary School (PS), 280km north of Perth on the Brand Highway, caters for 30 children from Kindergarten through to Year 6. Our specialised team of teaching and school support staff provide innovative and engaging classes for a child's first introduction to education. The school has a strong focus on numeracy, literacy and technology, with whole-school programs in place to cater for the individual needs of all students. The Role
As a Library Officer you will be responsible for the provision of reference information and maintaining the resources, environment and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students and staff at all times.
The successful applicant will ideally be a lover of books who is able to inspire students with a love of reading, create a welcoming atmosphere in the library and collaborate with other staff to promote reading throughout the school. The successful applicant will ideally be a great communicator who is approachable and able to display the capacity to work cooperatively with others to create a welcoming and vibrant library environment for students and families. A love of books and a sound understanding of library systems, processes and stocktakes would be an advantage.
