The Role

We are seeking a friendly and passionate English Teacher to join our team.

The successful applicant will ideally display professional knowledge, practices, and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum and have proven success working with students across a range of ability levels. Experience in effectively delivering engaging English curriculum across lower school year groups is desirable. The capacity to also teach English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) will also be advantageous. Teachers with the ability to facilitate literacy support with smaller groups of students are also encouraged to apply. The successful applicant should be versatile and committed to student achievement as well as being willing to commit to the school community. The capacity to use data and make evidence-based decisions is highly desirable.

As an English Teacher, the successful applicant should have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong commitment to achieving high educational outcomes for all students through creating an inclusive and safe learning environment. In this role, you will ideally create a learning environment that engages and challenges students, incorporate technology, accommodate to student individual needs, provide timely feedback to students and parents, care for student and most importantly celebrate curiosity and creativity. To do so, The successful applicant should have excellent teamwork skills with commitment to promote learning and excellence for all students. Experience with High Impact Teaching Strategies would be desirable as the school has an established Whole School Instructional Framework.
