This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026

The School

Joseph Banks Secondary College (SC) is an Independent Public School in the suburb of Banksia Grove, approximately 40 kilometres from the Perth CBD. We serve students from surrounding suburbs including Banksia Grove, Carramar and Tapping. The Role

The successful applicant will ideally be a positive and passionate teacher of science, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should use their professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Science curriculum, from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning, through to senior secondary courses. The ability to teach senior school Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Biology is highly desirable. Also, you will ideally be committed to personal and professional growth and embrace opportunities for collaboration.

The successful applicant will ideally display their ability to develop innovative classroom practices and utilise Information Communication Technology to provide integrated, personalised, and authentic learning experiences for students. A key attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are fun, purposeful, relevant and cater for differing student learning needs.
