The Role

As Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on students in relation to, attendance, behaviour, social/emotional wellbeing, educational engagement, and Students at Educational Risk. This role is an integral part of our Student Services Team, and the successful applicant will ideally display their ability to motivate and lead by example. You would provide support to teachers and curriculum leaders in student wellbeing and work in a collaborative team to meet all Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority requirements through various strategies such as targeted intervention and student case management. To ensure high quality outcomes for students, the Program Coordinator Student Services would need to build positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders. This is a full-time position which has responsibility for two-year groups. You will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and work proactively with the Executive team.

As the Program Coordinator - Student Services, you will ideally display a high level of interpersonal communication and time management skills with the capacity to lead and work as part of a busy, dynamic team. Ideally, our knowledge of case management of educationally at-risk students includes an understanding of effective intervention, monitoring and reporting strategies and experience in developing and fostering effective partnerships with external agencies to support students and school-based initiatives. Capacity to effectively comply with and implement Department Policies around student support, such as wellbeing and mental health, attendance, child protection, engagement and psychology services, is highly important.

As one of the three Program Coordinators of Student Services, you would work alongside other middle leaders at the school, applying your professional knowledge, understanding and data informed practices to promote teaching, learning and student well-being with the school community and assist in embedding the school's strategic direction. You would take ownership for promoting and maintaining aspects of the school culture that encourage and support positive relationships and active engagement between students, staff, parents, and the wider community. The successful applicant should build the professional capacity of the Student Services Team by providing high-level support and guidance, leading mentoring, coaching and management, as well as implementing effective proactive whole school initiatives.

In addition to the above, the successful applicant will ideally have a highly developed operational capacity with SIS and Compass, including attendance, behaviour, Reporting to Parents and interpreting and using data to support whole school strategies that improve student outcomes
