Yokine Primary School (PS) was founded in 1959 and is located 5 kms north of the Perth CBD within the City of Stirling, on Whadjuk country. As a vibrant and proactive Level 5 Primary School, we are proud and excited to be charged with the responsibility of building upon the educational reputation that has been established over many years. Our school is a place where everyone belongs, embracing a rich multicultural identity, with over 40 different cultural backgrounds and almost 50% of students with language backgrounds other than English. The Role

We seek motivated applicants with an in depth understanding of the Western Australian Languages Curriculum and contemporary pedagogical practices to support second language learning. Applicants should have knowledge in teaching the Japanese Language, classroom teaching and high-level Japanese speaking, reading and writing skills.

Please note, that whilst Japanese has historically been offered, the school is open to other languages and seeks a competent teacher capable of building and sustaining a cohesive, high-quality language program.
