We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Bambara Primary School (PS) is an independent public school located in Padbury, catering for approximately 272 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school is characterised by a strong culture of high expectations and genuine care, with a clear focus on placing students at the centre of decision-making and continuous improvement.

The Role

As school officers, suitable applicants will work closely with the Manager Corporate Services (MCS) and leadership team to manage the school’s finances to meet Department of Education financial processes and reporting requirements. The desired applicant will ideally have sound knowledge of Compass, Student Information System (SIS) Integris, RM Billing, RM Finance, Asset Manager and HRMIS (Human Resource Management Information System), Microsoft Office and Canva to complete their daily work.

Some of the key financial and administrative tasks School Officers would perform includes helping with processing relief staff payments, leave requests, electronics forms and associated tasks in HRMIS as well as providing support with the induction of new staff and coordinating relief staff. In-addition, as school officers’ suitable applicants would help with the management of school assets such as the administration of out-of-hours use of school facilities, coordinating and negotiating maintenance and repairs and maintaining key registers and security system codes.

Ideally, suitable applicants will have experience with asset and resource stocktakes, maintaining asset and resource registers along with managing Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment, associate software licences and data management systems.

The desired applicants will ideally model excellent customer service, teamwork and be a welcoming professional front face of the school. Applicants who possess excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines are highly desirable. Ideally, suitable applicants would have a positive approach to the role and be self-motivated for continuous improvement and learn new skills as well as adapt to new processes and data bases when required.
