The Role
Newton Moore Senior High School is seeking a motivated and experienced School Psychologist to join our supportive and collaborative team. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and work effectively with school leadership, Student Services staff, students and families. A commitment to professional self‑reflection and culturally responsive practice is essential.
The School Psychologist will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, consult effectively, and work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role involves close collaboration with school leadership and Student Services to support student wellbeing, engagement and educational outcomes. - hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self-directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter-agency partners across a variety of contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
