About the team/business unit

Titling Services delivers quality, timely and accurate information and services to customers and stakeholders, while registering and securing all land transactions in Western Australia within the State’s Land Title Register for both private and State‑owned land. The business unit provides customer service across multiple channels and sites and supports the Registrar and Commissioner of Titles to meet their statutory obligations and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Land Titles Register.

About the roles

Land Titles Officer – Level 4

This position provides efficient, quality and timely services in the delivery of complex matters relating to plan and title creation, survey and plan lodgement, examination and registration of interests. The Land Titles Officer liaises with all levels of stakeholders in providing guidance and information on a wide variety of complex transitions.

Senior Consultant – Level 5

This position is responsible for providing information and advice to key stakeholders on complex matters relating to plan auditing, title creation, and registration of interests. A key focus of the role includes developing staff expertise in relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. This position provides high‑level technical advice and expertise across land registration systems in Western Australia, supporting accurate and compliant land transactions and the integrity of the Land Titles Register. The role focuses on mentoring and coaching others, contributing to capability uplift through education and training, and acting as an escalation point for complex or sensitive matters. It requires strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse internal and external audiences, underpinned by a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

This recruitment process will establish a talent pool, with offers made for full-time permanent or fixed-term roles based on availability at the time. Part-time arrangements may also be considered.

Role Requirements

To be successful in the Land Titles Officer role, please demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated ability and practical experience in interpretating and applying legislation.
  • Proven high-level attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality customer service across multiple service channels in high-volume, high-pressure environments.

To be successful in the Senior Consultant role, please demonstrate:

  • High level knowledge and significant experience of land information, land development, and/or land registration systems in Western Australia, as well as relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in a consultative capacity to wide ranging audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability and previous experience providing leadership and guidance within a technical based environment, with the capacity to motivate and develop staff to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to analyse and resolve issues and provide innovative solutions. High-level attention to detail and a methodical approach is essential.
