This is a 36 month fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible.

Muludja Remote Community School (RCS) is determined to provide an empowering start to learning in early childhood facilitate the best opportunity to excel in academic improvement and instil confidence in our graduating students. The school offers education for children up to 3 years old through KindiLink, then Kindergarten to Year 6, where the WA Curriculum is used to plan, assess and report on student learning. Muludja RCS is an active member of the Kimberley Schools Project, and our staff are trained in and deliver targeted learning in Literacy and Mathematics. Two-Way Learning experiences are instilled in everyday culturally responsive practices.

Muludja Remote Community is a small indigenous community, situated on the flood plains of the beautiful Margaret River. It is a quiet place, set in vibrant bushland approximately 35km by gravel road, east of Fitzroy Crossing. The Traditional Owners of the land are the Gooniyandi people, who were originally located on the Fossil Downs Station side of the river. Muludja is a welcoming, strong community passionate about our Country, our People, our sports team and learning.

The Role

The position for the remainder of 2026 is for a Year 5/6 class of 9 students, who all attend regularly with occasional students from neighbouring schools. You would work alongside a team of Aboriginal Educators who rotate through the school classrooms. Remote Teaching Service contracts suit applicants who ideally, are passionate, motivated, and flexible team players, committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching, instructional strategies and trauma informed planning. You will ideally be highly reflective of your teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making, and differentiation.

It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Applicants should possess an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. Knowledge of the science of learning and the programs Spelling Mastery and Math Hero will be well regarded.

Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.   

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
