The Role

Comet Bay College is seeking a highly effective leader who is responsible for leading quality Teaching and Learning and our instructional coaching portfolio. This may include whole school literacy and numeracy and the continued implementation of our instructional framework and commitment to classroom observation and feedback.

The successful applicant should possess a high level of motivation and energy, as well as the ability to coach and develop leaders and create a performance and learning culture. You should also showcase strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, coupled with the capacity to cultivate and sustain positive partnerships.

The Deputy Principal plays a pivotal role within the broader college’s leadership team, collaborating closely with the Principal and Executive Team to champion the college’s vision and values. You will ideally have the versatility to contribute across any of the Deputy Principal portfolios should it be deemed necessary by the Principal.

As a curriculum leader you will support Learning Area Deans to develop their operational plans that align to the whole school business plan, ensuring accountability for agreed targets. As a pastoral leader you will support the Dean and Associate Deans of Student Support to ensure quality case management that promotes the well-being of each student in their cohort.
