
We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants - Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will support the delivery of planned education programs that promote student learning and development. Working collaboratively as part of a classroom team, you will assist with implementing individual and small‑group programs under the direction of the teacher. The role requires sound written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to use initiative and contribute to the preparation and maintenance of an effective learning environment.
Education Assistants play an important role in supporting an inclusive and safe learning setting. This includes assisting with the care, supervision and general wellbeing of students, and helping manage behaviour in line with school policies and expectations. The position may also involve supporting resource organisation and providing administrative assistance, such as collecting money in accordance with school procedures.
