The Role

Are you passionate about making a difference to the students and schools who are most in need? Do you believe that decisions and approaches to support these students and schools must be data-driven and evidence-based? If so, then the Service Allocation, Prioritisation and Coordination branch within Statewide Services is seeking to appoint a motivated educator who is focussed on improving outcomes for students to fill the role of Education Officer – Service Delivery.

Statewide Services provides services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement and educational outcomes, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. Schools and Regions can submit a Request for Assistance to access support from Statewide Services when a school is facing significant challenges or for students with complex needs. For example, support required for whole school practices where student wellbeing, engagement, performance and/or progress is at significant risk. Schools can also access support for students that are experiencing challenges with their wellbeing, behaviour and engagement in schooling.

As a member of this diverse team, you will  ideally bring your recent knowledge of school practices and processes to support the implementation of effective needs assessment and planning of support. Your effective communication skills will enable you to build relationships, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to plan and deliver support to enable improved student outcomes in schools.

As the successful applicant, you will assist in collecting, analysing and interpreting data and other contextual information to support data-driven and evidence-based needs assessment processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
