The Role

Dayton PS is seeking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic School Officers that ideally show initiative and are able to work independently as well as collaboratively within an innovative and friendly team. Being the first point of contact and the face of the school, the successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills to continue to develop relationships across the school community, internally and externally.

The School Officer undertakes administrative roles supporting the delivery of high-quality education. Well-rounded experience is desirable, and suitable applicants will have the opportunity for growth and to develop skills through a combination of mentoring and professional learning opportunities. With keen attention to detail and a willingness to be flexible, you would work alongside the Manager Corporate Services to administer the school's financial, human and physical resources.

Ideally, the School Officer would have the ability to effectively prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure. With high level accuracy and attention to detail they should ensure accurate and timely processing of a range of administrative and financial functions, including maintaining relevant business information management systems. Suitable applicants would support the Manager Corporate Services in undertaking planning, monitoring, research, reporting and analysis to meet established objectives and outcomes relative to business needs and plans. As a school that utilises technology to enhance service delivery of business operations, experience in using spreadsheets and other business and school management software is highly desirable.
