The Role
Caversham Valley PS is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic School Officer to provide support to the Executive and Administration Team, and Manager Corporate Services.
As a School Officer you would be responsible for supporting the Manager Corporate Services in administering the school’s financial resources whilst upholding confidentiality and security of sensitive material. A significant part of the role would be providing support for the Principal in maintaining the school website, promotional news to the wider school community, administrative duties for the school board, P&C and outside stakeholders. You would provide assistance to members of the school administration team with maintaining school databases, records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date, along with general word processing tasks. A strong working knowledge of SIS, RM Finance, RM Billing, Connect, HRMIS and Compass is desirable.
The successful applicant should be able to display attention to detail, meet deadlines and work well within a team environment. They will ideally model effective and quality customer and administrative support service delivery and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They would work collaboratively with the Executive and Administrative team, school support staff, teaching staff and our school community. The successful applicant would have the skills to competently work independently without supervision or direction with an excellent focus on team work
Our school is located 15 kilometres from the centre of Perth in the growing suburb of Caversham, near the Swan Valley, surrounded by developing housing estates with many young families. Our school community includes families of different backgrounds and cultures, many from overseas where English is not always the first language or dialect spoken at home.
