We are seeking to establish a pool of Assistant Gardener – Handypersons for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

The Assistant Gardener – Handyperson supports the upkeep and presentation of the school’s grounds, gardens and facilities, helping to maintain a safe, tidy and welcoming environment for students, staff and the broader school community

In this role, you will assist with the care and maintenance of lawns, garden beds, shrubs, trees and other landscaped areas across the school site. The position also includes completing basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs as required.

The suitable applicants would ensure gardening tools, equipment and machinery are maintained in a clean, safe and operational condition, and that any faults or issues are reported promptly.

We are seeking someone who enjoys working outdoors, understands safe work practices, and has good communication skills to build positive relationships with school staff and external contractors.
