The Role
Woodvale SC is seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher, with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will ideally be committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated.
The successful applicant will ideally be a positive and passionate teacher of Design Technologies, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should use their professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Design Technologies curriculum, from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning, through to senior secondary courses. You will ideally be an enthusiastic adopter of a college wide instructional framework based on explicit teaching and instructional skills, strategies, and tactics. You will ideally be committed to personal and professional growth and embrace opportunities for collaboration.
The ideal applicant will have experience teaching Design within a Design and Technology context and display the ability to deliver engaging, practical learning programs. Experience in the use of emerging technologies, including 3D printing, resin printing, and laser cutting, is highly desirable. Applicants with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be well regarded, particularly those who can support vocational pathways and industry-aligned learning experiences.
