The Role
The School Attendance Officer is responsible for assisting school communities with processes that aim to improve student attendance, participation, and engagement in educational programs. This includes monitoring student attendance, producing absence reports, amending absence records, collecting and analysing absenteeism data, and assisting with the development and implementation of individual student attendance improvement plans.

- Demonstrated sound research and problem solving skills including the ability to identify appropriate solutions to problems, such as those affecting student attendance.
- Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, particularly in a team environment.
