Butler College opened in January 2013 as an inclusive public school for secondary students in Perth's northern suburbs. The College values are at the heart of our culture: Knowledge, Integrity and Respect.

A key aspect of Butler College is our endorsed Education Support Program. Our facility supports 80 students with special educational and medical needs. Our facilities include a hydrotherapy pool and a range of sensory spaces. As an integrated site, our students benefit from high levels of expertise and support and the ability to integrate with other students where appropriate.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a friendly and dedicated Education Assistant Lead for our team.

The ideal applicant should possess well developed communication and interpersonal skills in-order to lead, mentor and coach other Education Assistants. Ideally, you would have excellent organisational skills with the ability to coordinate, plan and manage.

The primary focus of the role is in creating the conditions for our Education Assistants to positively impact the lives and educational outcomes of our students. This includes, but is not limited to; conducting inductions for new contracted and casual staff, supporting Work Health and Safety systems and processes, Performance and Development processes, coordination of resources and directly supporting staff and students experiencing challenges.

    • Demonstrated well developed written communication skills, including report writing, and the ability to coordinate, collect and present student data at a whole school community level in a meaningful way.
    • Demonstrated well developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate staff rosters and relief to assist in the delivery of effective education programs.
