The Role
The role of the Media and Marketing Officer is to provide operational support in the development, implementation and management of the school’s Media and Marketing Plan. You should establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, and assist school management in ensuring all school communication activities are coordinated effectively. You should be responsible for the development and implementation of media strategies and have the ability to actively seek out new opportunities to further increase the reach of online communications and school publications within our college and the wider community.
As the Media and Marketing Officer, you should have an interest in social media platforms and be able to develop a range of communications, publications and materials to support the College marketing activities and events. In addition, maintaining and updating the school’s website and social media platforms to ensure content is current and engaging.The FTE may increase to 0.6 depending on the sucsessful applicant.
Key responsibilities of this role may include but not be limited to
- Producing printed and online publications, including capturing photographic images for promotional material and social media posts.
- Ensuring publications and news media communications meet department standards.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with print and electronic news media.
- Develop, implement and maintain internal communication policies.
- Assisting college management in ensuring internal and external communication activities of the college are coordinated and managed effectively.
- Research, develop and implement proactive strategies to communicate College activities and achievements and present the positive face of Canning Vale College.
