The Role
As a Library Officer you would be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, provision of reference information and maintaining the environment and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff.
Library Officer will ideally have outstanding customer service skills to provide library support to our school community, our leadership team and staff. You will ideally work in partnership with staff to create a welcoming and vibrant library environment for students and families. A love of books and a sound understanding of library systems, processes and stocktakes would be highly desirable.
The Library Officer would be responsible for assisting students, parents and staff to select program and age-appropriate materials. You should assist with the stocktaking and monitoring of the library budget and contributing to making recommendations for new library resources.
