We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Maarakool Primary School is situated on Noongar Whadjuk Boodjhar and opened Term 1 of 2025 for Kindy to Year 6 students. The school currently accommodates 350 students and is located on Groundspeed Avenue, within the rapidly growing suburb of Brabham (located near Whiteman Park and the Swan Valley).

The Role
As a school officer, you would be the first point of contact for our students, families, staff and community and as such, a strong focus on customer service is key to this role. Suitable applicants should ideally be professional, positive and friendly, with well-developed communication skills. The ideal applicants should work well in a team environment, display initiative and approach challenges with a growth mindset. Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail with great flexibility to move between tasks and different environments within our school and be able to deliver priority outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Suitable applicants would be responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. In addition, you should support student-related activities such as assisting with student enrolment, billing procedures and operating a range of software packages including Integris, Compass, RM Billing and Microsoft Office Suite. The suitable applicants would be willing to learn the phase 2 of Compass implementation.

3. Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
