This is a 5 month fixed term, part-time (0.88FTE) position commencing as soon as possible with possible extension

Southwell Primary School (PS), situated in Hamilton Hill, is a small school that caters for Kindergarten to Year 6 students. We offer an engaging, safe and friendly place to learn, supported by the commitment of our team of dedicated, child-centred professionals and small class sizes.

The Role

The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for inducting, training, leading, and managing cleaning staff including relief staff; monitoring and ordering stock supplies within your budget; maintenance and stocktake of cleaning equipment; undertaking cleaning of allocated internal and external areas; opening and locking the college, including setting the security alarm system and conducting twice daily hand over with the Manager Corporate Services.

The successful applicant will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well with others to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual. The suitable applicant should work well both individually and as part of a team and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.

This role would require the successful applicant to work spilt shifts, four hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon.
