Located attractively near the beach, Port Hedland Primary School (PS) is a Level 5 school of choice in the Hedland area with an enrolment base of 490 students. Our families mainly encompass those employed in the mining industry and in professional positions in the region.

The Role

As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds. In this role you will collaborate and work in a team environment. Education Assistants will ideally possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. 

As a Mainstream Education Assistant, there may be opportunities to support the school’s literacy intervention program, including the delivery of components of the MacqLit suite of programs such as MiniLit. Applicants with experience using these programs are encouraged to highlight this in their application. Training will be provided if required. Our school values strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
