We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Deputy Principal will ideally empower every student, in every classroom every day.

Gwynne Park PS is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Deputy Principal to join our leadership team. We are ideally looking for a passionate educator who puts students first and thrives in a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills - able to engage effectively with staff, students, families, and the wider community.
  • Strong Personal Acumen - displays integrity, resilience, and professional judgement.
  • Student Services and Special Needs Expertise - skilled in supporting diverse learners and ensuring inclusive practices.
  • Behaviour Management Leadership - proven ability to implement positive behaviour strategies and foster a safe, respectful school culture.
  • Curriculum Knowledge - deep understanding of Mathematics
    • Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation (DSF) endorsed- Talk for Writing and Talk for Reading
    • Science of Reading - University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) and Words of Origin.
    • Teaching for Impact Quality Teaching Strategy
  • Instructional Coaching - experience in mentoring staff and leading curriculum development.
  • Team Player - works collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to drive school improvement.
