
We are seeking to establish a pool of Gardener - Handypersons for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Suitable applicants will work to provide gardening, grounds and facility management to ensure a safe and clean school environment. Working as part of a team - you will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean and tidy condition. Suitable applicants will perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other Gardener - Handyperson duties in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines.
Suitable applicants should display effective communication skills, be able to develop and maintain good, respectful working relationships with staff, students and external stakeholders and ideally be able to work unsupervised, with the ability to identify and recognise work that is required to be completed. They should also be well organised, reliable and take pride in their work.
