
We are seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Gilmore College is seeking to appoint passionate and innovative Secondary Generalist Teachers to join their team.
Due to growth in student numbers and increased leadership opportunities, we have an opening for a Secondary Generalist Teachers who possesses the skills and interest to work across learning areas.
As valued members of our team, you will ideally utilise your strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, evidence-based pedagogical practices, and curriculum knowledge to create a classroom environment that maximises student growth and success. The suitable applicants will ideally display a willingness to adhere to school procedures and will ideally uphold the school’s Whole-School Instructional Model (WSIM), effectively executing the model with high expectations for all students.
Experience working within a WSIM, using Explicit Instruction, and supporting whole-school Literacy and Numeracy initiatives is desirable. Suitable applicants will ideally display knowledge and experience in trauma-informed practices and have the capacity to effectively support Students at Educational Risk (SAER). A clear understanding of differentiated instruction is desirable, along with a willingness to contribute to the ongoing growth and development the school.
The ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that meet the diverse needs of our students, while establishing effective relationships with stakeholders, is highly valued. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote and uphold the school’s values and priorities across the school community are desirable.
