Denmark Senior High School (SHS) is located in the Shire of Denmark within the Great Southern region of Western Australia and near the banks of the Denmark River. Built on its current site in 2 000, the school is set on 19 hectares of land one kilometre east of the town centre. The school provides a comprehensive Year 7 to Year 12 secondary school education.

The Role
Denmark SHS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to work as an integral member of the school’s executive team. This is a full-time Level 5 Public Service position, commencing at the start of Term 3, 2026.
As an valued member of the executive team, the MCS will ideally have highly accomplished expertise in leading and managing school financial and accounting processes, asset and building management, ICT governance, administrative services, business planning, marketing and communications within a school setting. As our MCS, you will work closely with the principal and the school’s leadership team, playing a significant role in the strategic implementation of the Business Plan by aligning resources – physical, human and financial - to meet targets and support the vision of the school.
The successful applicant should ideally have established competence in leading human resources and financial functions within a school setting, and the confidence to manage staff and operations effectively. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will assist when working with the leadership team, staff, parents and the wider community. You should be reflective, ethical, collaborative and committed to building respectful relationships across the school and community, modelling integrity and professionalism while fostering a culture of excellence in all aspects of school operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Human Resources: Lead and manage school support staff as assigned, including recruitment, induction, performance development, and workforce planning. As a leader of allied professionals, you will work to build capacity and sustainability across this valued team of employees.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and reporting, ensuring that financial operations are compliant, transparent, and strategically sound. Strong financial planning and management skills, with the ability to monitor budgets, develop plans and support high level financial decisions is essential.
- Resource & Asset Management: Oversee the management of the school’s physical resources, from facilities to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems. You will ideally understand Work Health and Safety legislation and have a sound understanding of relevant operating systems to empower you to undertake your duties to a high standard.
- Operational Leadership: Help lead the school’s operations and governance, with a focus on compliance, office administration systems, facilities, and workforce development. Demonstrated capacity to think strategically, plan effectively and actively participate in key initiatives is highly valued.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with staff, committees, and external partners to support the delivery of strategic objectives. Your strategic involvement in the development and subsequent enacting of Business and Marketing Plans, in collaboration with the principal and the senior leadership team, underscores your commitment to the school's long-term objectives.
