The Role
Byford SC is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated educator who will have the role of Instructional Coach in the English Learning Area. The successful applicant should have a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the department’s Quality Teaching Strategy and the College Instructional Framework. This position, which entails a 0.6 +FTE face-to-face teaching load, is ideally suited for an accomplished teacher aspiring to develop leadership skills for formal leadership roles. We are committed to supporting teachers on their leadership journey. The successful applicant will have access to customised professional learning and mentoring as well as the opportunity to work across the College.
There is an expectation that the successful applicant is an active contributor to the English Learning Area and reflective in their practice to support professional growth and improvement of educational outcomes for all students. The applicant should also be able to demonstrate sound delivery of the West Australian English curriculum, with preferred teaching experience in the Senior School Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Course of study.
