The Role
At Cunderdin DHS, our school staff are a positive team who are dedicated to the needs of our students. They provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students to grow in. Many teachers and support staff have established life-long relationships in the Cunderdin district.
As a Special Needs Education Assistant at our school, suitable applicants will assist the teacher in delivering planned education programs and encouraging a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This includes the operation of computers and digital technologies, and implementation of individual student or small group programs or demonstrations.
To be successful in this role, suitable applicants will be required to work under general supervision and guidance performing tasks that require limited discretion and judgement in achieving clearly defined outcomes determined by the teacher. In addition, Special Needs Education Assistants will ideally have the ability to apply techniques, skills and knowledge of relevant principles and practices acquired through previous experience, on the job learning or relevant qualification.
