The Role
Cloverdale PS is seeking a ideally dynamic and proactive Mainstream Education Assistant experienced in K to Year 2 support to join their amazing team!
The successful applicant should have a high level of interpersonal skills to enable them to work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students. They will ideally possess the knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of learning difficulties and the ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting.
The successful applicant will ideally work under direct supervision and guidance of the classroom teacher. They will ideally perform tasks that require discretion, judgement and initiative in achieving clearly defined outcomes determined by the teacher.
Experience with programs such as Team Teach, Zones of Regulation and Positive Behaviour Support, the ability to keep comprehensive records, and confidence in the use of information technology will be advantageous.
Applicants who possess communication skills that enable them to develop positive, friendly productive relationships with students, parents and colleagues are encouraged to apply, as are applicants who have a willingness to be flexible in an ever-changing work environment.
