Located 2 to 3 hours inland from Perth, the Wheatbelt education region supports 69 public schools and more than 8,660 students across diverse rural communities. This position is based at the Wheatbelt Education Regional Office in Northam or the Narrogin Local Office in Narrogin.
The Role
The role supports the Director of Education and budget holders in the effective administration of the Education Regional Office, providing assistance across financial, human resource, physical and information management functions. This includes contributing to budget preparation and monitoring, undertaking financial planning, reporting and analysis, and developing and maintaining business and information management systems to support strategic objectives.
The position coordinates and processes a range of human resource activities, including recruitment, selection and appointment processes, and undertakes HR transactions within the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS). The role also supports performance management processes, maintains accurate records, generates reports, and delivers training to staff in administrative procedures and business management software.
In addition, the role contributes to the management and maintenance of physical assets, including supporting asset replacement planning and providing input into asset management and maintenance strategies for facilities, equipment and buildings. All responsibilities are undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation and Department policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effective governance.
