This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP

The Infrastructure Division has responsibility for the provision of facilities (land, buildings and equipment,) which include demographic forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, capital works programs and the maintenance and minor works programs.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has both technical knowledge and experience in managing electronic security programs. This includes the procurement and contracting of service providers as well as the management of contractor performance and contract renewal reviews. You will also have the depth of experience to be able to advice stakeholders (schools and management) on contract development renewals and extensions.

The Role

We need an expert in electronic security; you need to demonstrate a strong working and industry knowledge of electronic security systems including intruder detection systems and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, to investigate, assess, report on and review the performance of electronic security systems for building and alarm monitoring purposes. Demonstrated knowledge in alarm communication systems, alarm receiving software, and monitoring centre technology will stand you in good stead.

Responsibilities for this role include the development and assessment of electronic systems and processes, monitoring the performance of contractors and overseeing the contract administration process. As an expert you will also liaise with the Department’s Commercial Services area and Department of Finance on procurement of technology and service.

Knowledge of emergency management arrangements in Western Australia and an understanding of incident and risk management associated with bushfires and other natural disasters will be beneficial as you will be expected to contribute to recommendations to improve security, emergency management and incident management to reduce damage and minimise risk to assets and facilities.
