Kelmscott Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated Mainstream Education Assistant for a 9 month fixed term, part time 0.8FTE position commencing Term 2 2026, with possible permanency.

The Role
Working under teacher direction, you ideally will:
- assist with the delivery of planned education programs
- support students individually, in small groups and within whole class settings
- reinforce explicit teaching and structured routines
- prepare and maintain organised, engaging learning environments
- assist with supervision and transitions throughout the school day
- promote positive behaviour aligned with whole school processes
- support the health and wellbeing of students
Working under teacher direction in a diverse role, you would also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority. Managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs is an important aspect of this role.

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
