The Role
We are seeking a School Officer who ideally has a high level of experience and skill in an education context to join our experienced Administration Team. The successful applicant should have a thorough understanding of how to apply high levels of customer service principles and practices, possess exceptional communication and clerical skills, have the ability to learn and adopt Information and communication technology (ICT) processes and skills, and be a supportive, capable team member. The successful applicant will ideally have sound organisational skills and the flexibility to adapt to new roles and responsibilities to suit the growing business needs of the school.
The successful applicant should model effective, and quality customer administrative support service delivery, and use excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the Administration Team, school support staff, our school community, and teaching staff. In addition, you would support student-related activities such as assisting with incursion/excursion and student enrolment procedures and operate a range of software packages, particularly databases and word processing.
Responsibilities of the School Officer may include student attendance, undertaking reception duties, meeting and greeting visitors’, answering the telephone, responding to routine enquiries and requests for information, maintaining school databases including records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date, and maintaining and updating the school communications tools. Knowledge of the Student Information System (SIS), RM Billing, RM Finance, Compass, Microsoft Office 365 and Excel would be desirable.
While not essential, applicants are encouraged to structure their responses using the SAO (Situation, Action, Outcome) or STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method to clearly demonstrate their skills and experience in relation to the role.
