This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026

North Lake Senior Campus provides a quality education for young people and adults wanting to complete Year 11 and Year 12 in a safe, unique and inclusive campus. With an atmosphere more like an adult training institute than a traditional secondary school, North Lake Senior Campus offers opportunities for students to achieve university entry, gain an apprenticeship, traineeship or enter the world of work.

Highly qualified and caring staff work alongside students to engage with Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses or Vocational Education and Training (VET) programmes from a range of areas. North Lake's Fast Track Program, located in central Fremantle in a purpose-built campus, offers customised learning programs catering for students not quite ready for mainstream Year 11. The Intensive English Centre, located at the main campus, assists newly arrived Australians targeted programs to assist them to learn Standard Australian English and transition to mainstream senior schooling or further training and employment.

The Role

North Lake Senior Campus are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Officer to join their team. As a School Officer you will be the first point of contact for our school and will be responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. As our School Officer, your duties may include assisting the Manager Corporate Services to maintain the financial position of the school; handling front desk inquiries and collaborating with all staff on daily operations with integrity and confidentiality.

You should model effective and quality customer and administrative support service delivery and use good interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff. The successful applicants will ideally have strong organisational skills, possess the ability to keep to timelines in their day to day working environment, and be a supportive, capable team member. The successful applicant will ideally exhibit excellent organisational skills with the ability to efficiently meet deadlines, working autonomously or with other school support staff.

Applicants with experience in school-based administration, including Schools Information Systems (SIS), Compass, Resource management (RM) Finance, RM Billing, student enrolments, human resource management (including HRMIS), the Microsoft Office suite, and school communications such as social media and website management, are encouraged to apply.
