The School
Coorow PS is a small, family-centred school for Kindergarten to Year 6 students in the friendly community of Coorow located 265km north of Perth.
With our motto, “Learning for Life,” we focus on equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in the future, while celebrating who they are today. Teachers are well-supported and work collaboratively to implement whole-school programs and use effective teaching strategies. Our staff firmly believe all decisions should be made solely to improve student outcomes. They know their students well and develop programs that reflect quality differentiated teaching practices within our multi-age classes.
We maintain high expectations for our students in their learning and behaviour. We encourage the development of their independence and agency. We take pride in offering diverse excursions and learning opportunities, ensuring our students don’t miss out due to their isolated location.
Our school is proudly participating in the ACTION Respect program, and this will be a focus of our work throughout 2025-2026.
