We are seeking to establish a pool of Gardener – Handypersons for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Sevenoaks is a unique senior college which offers specialised pathways to Year 11 and 12 students. We were established in 2000 and continue to build on our foundation ethos to provide pathways for students as they explore their future in our young adult learning environment. We are one of two such colleges in the metropolitan area.

The Role

As the Gardener - Handyperson you will work to provide gardening, grounds and facility management to ensure a safe and clean school environment. You will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean and tidy condition, and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management. As the only Gardener - Handyperson on site you may be required to meet contractors during your workday, therefore strong communication skills are highly regarded. Suitable applicants would perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other Gardener - Handyperson duties in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines.
